Google's 25th Anniversary Office Brand

Project Overview

Client: Google

My Role: Visual Designer

Duration: 1 Month

Deliverables: Branding, Internal Communications, Website Assets, Custom Swag (Apparel, Tote Bags, Mugs, Stickers)

The Objective

To celebrate Google’s milestone 25th birthday, Google Site Programs requested a cohesive but highly localized design campaign. The goal was to create unique, celebratory branding for eight major global offices: San Francisco, New York City, Durham, London, Canada, Pittsburgh, Washington D.C., and Seattle. These designs needed to be versatile enough to scale across digital internal communications, internal websites, and a wide variety of physical swag items.

The Approach

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach to corporate anniversary branding, I focused on creating a sense of local pride. I researched and incorporated iconic city elements, local landmarks, and subtle cultural symbols that resonate specifically with the Googlers working in each region.

The Result

The final "G25gle" designs successfully blended Google’s overarching brand identity with the unique spirit of each local hub. In just one month, I delivered a comprehensive suite of bespoke graphics that were enthusiastically rolled out across physical merchandise and global digital touchpoints to celebrate a quarter-century of Google.
